About Laurie
Laurie Chapman is a Board Certified licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PHMNP-BC). Prior to gaining her board certification, she has worked in multiple nursing roles since 2008 including cardiac intensive care, home health, clinical trial work, and women's health. Since 2020 she has specialized in the care of women in crisis.
In addition to being a Nurse Practitioner, Laurie has an additional bachelor's degree in psychology, graduate certificates in Trauma Informed Care and Global Trauma Approaches, and an additional Master's Degree in Theology, Ethics, and Culture. Laurie enjoys writing, painting, and gardening. Her greatest joy has been being mom to seven wonderful people and grandmother to their equally wonderful children.
In addition to running her private practice, Laurie also currently serves as the Medical Director at A Door of Hope Pregnancy Care Center in Wilmington, DE.
